Liberty Elm Tree Dedication |
When a special American Liberty Elm is dedicated in Newport it will be much more than a tree. It is a Liberty Tree Memorial, a living growing tribute to our country's freedom and founding. On August 14, 2010, Liberty Tree Day, the public is invited to attend a ceremony at the Liberty Tree located in front of the Newport Elementary School @ 10:00am where Newport's Tree Day proclamation will be read.

Dedication and Ribbon Cutting of the Newport Tennis Court |
The Newport Board of Selectmen is proud to announce the dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony of the Newport Tennis Courts. The courts were completely rebuilt after many years of patching and repair. We would like to invite any interested parties to attend while we celebrate a recreational opportunity and re-dedicate these wonderful facilities. The Ribbon Cutting and dedication will take place on Tuesday, the 24th of August at 10:00 am.
